I’ve decided that what I want to do is expand what I have been doing part time for the last three years into a full time business. For the last few months I have been experimenting with “dropcatching”, which to the unintiated is the practice of registering domain names (only co.uk’s as far as I am concerned) that previous owners no longer require when they come up for renewal after the 2 year registration period.

This involved writing my own software (as there is nothing commercially available) to register domains names literally within a fraction of a second of them becoming available. I am constantly updating the the software to try and squeeze that extra millisecond faster response time which can make all the difference to whether a domain is caught or not.
